Hello Jane. I would first like to say how happy I am for you on your recovery and success. An amazing journey to read about. I was wondering, are you going to put up videos on how you meditated or should I just look into Tao. I read that this practice really hit home for you. Yes, your Pdoc is hardly unique in invalidating you and your concerns. In my experience, people without mental illness who are in a position of authority or power over those with mental illness can and often do look down on you for being a patient and in need of services. They are in a position to judge and they do. Blithely unaware, apparently, that in so doing, they put themselves in an adversarial relationship with their client-patients. I hope things improve for you.

Dear Jane ............... you are a blessing and an inspiration .............. I am so happy for you .... I am currently in the Forensic Mental Health System ... takes more of a hold than the criminal justice .... I had brought up to my psychiatrist I was interested in exploring alternative methods for my illness and was accused of trolling anti psychiatry cites and my file was flagged with comments of concern that I am in denial - sound familiar?
