@Bretse why do you a fire extinguisher in your home, a seat belt in your car?.....precautions....as safe as you can be....crap happens...i'd rather have my baby crying and floating, than quiet and at the bottom of a pool

@Bretse every parent has lost track of their child, whether it be one second or one minute, obviously you have never heard the term "just in case" nobody puts their child in these classes hoping their child will fall in a pool...its just in case... clearly you have no children or never took care of kids...so the next time you feel like commenting, just ask yourself....what would a smart person do?

I don't care what others say, I am grown and know what's right and wrong and I think it's wrong that some lazy parents that just don't want to take care of their kids right are putting these poor children through this class. And yes, I DO know what I'm talking about because none of my kids ever drowned.

@Bretse Oh gosh. Notice how both 101kks's comments to you are top rated? That's because he is correct. You're clueless. These classes have saved 100's of childrens lives. Ignorant parents or parents who neglect there children don't put there kids in these types of class only responsible, smart, loving parents with brains do. There are re-courses a few times a year to make sure babies don't forget and most never do. If you don't no what you're talking about then my advice is to zip it. fool.

and then falls in the pool 6 months later, still remembers what to do? Also this class is not a garantie for anything. The child can still fall in the water, swallow water, start panicking and don't do what it learned. If you have a pool, then make it secure, and yes, it's that simple! Start watching your kids and stop making up excuses why you can't watch them good enough!

And no it's absolutely not realistic to watch your child being scared to death without helping. The only reason why these kids don't drown is probably because they are so scared now, that they stay away from the water in gerneral. I want my kids to enjoy swimming. Nobodys child of my entire family or of any family I know ever died because of an accident. Sorry, but I don't care if millions of people do it. That doesn't mean it is right. @Bretse Just because you 'trust someone 100%' doesn't mean a child would still get injured or drowned in that persons care. Every parent that puts there baby in these classes are smart, caring and REALISIC. The problem of ISR is that if a baby is a ceaserian or convulsion patient,he/she could face death in swimming pool especially while performing such tests.This is bcoz such babies lack resistance power
