  • technically it is cheating, if they do ask a bit high compared to their average fee, can you really blame them? when you compare it to your life vs theirs. i spent .005 euro in india hiring auto travelling the same distance i would have to pay 5 euros in france. i wouldnt mind paying abit extra just to make them happier, but careful some might get too greedy

  • wow...he just asked 20 Indian Rupees...normally auto guys rob the foriegners and all natives by asking a hefty fare , even to go one kilometre.....this guy is true to his heart...awesome...He is a true Indian...so touched...wow...

  • Are there any Suzuki Maruti's left in India? My aunt used to drive an old one it was basicly a rickshaw with 4 wheels hahahaa XDD

  • If you didn't ride by meter, he did take you for a ride. You can always tell the cops if the auto guy refuses to turn the meter on.

A little bangalore specific info: The minimum charge (on date of writing) is Rs. 14. Then you are charged Rs. 7 for every kilometer. If ur destination is 10 km away, the auto meter should read around Rs. 70.

  • dude, where did u end up after the ride ???

  • i have been there and i can say that if you are a new guy over there, esp. foreign tourist they charge you high and pretty overwhelming u know..it happens

the way that guy tried to take you elsewhere

its better to go in a company of people rather than a single foreign tourists guy..

btw, dd u just go to VLOG there???

  • hahaha , good work he almost took you for a ride

  • I agree. You have to be firm with them. I can't begin to list how many times I had to say no (nahin). LOL!

  • I am glad you were able to say NO to him..dont ever hesitate..there are always people out there looking to exploit tourists..dont fall to them..
