Glastron Carlson Scimitar 1980

This is the first Emerald (Mist) Green Scimitar I have seen posted. Recently purchased 1980 Glastron Carlson Scimitar. In process of fine tuning engine prior to propping for maximum performance. Engine (MerCruiser 260 HP (350 Chev block) runs strong but needs minor tweaking. Exterior and interior immaculate . . . Owned by Mike Cushing and based in Balsam Lake , Wisconsin.

Would be nice to see some remakes from Glastron. Ford did it for Mustang, Chev for Camaro and Dodge for the Challenger , all of which had a build in market for enthusiasts

Great to see a emerald mist Scimitar on YouTube - so far you're the only one :) I'm a fellow owner - but mine is a total project boat that is too much for me to take on right now. Yours looks very mint! Where did you find yours? Did you have to redo the floor and stringers? Aand just to join the queue - if you decide to sell it let me know - I'm looking to buy one that's less of a project. Ps: Love to see new vids of pics from his year!

Brother bought somewhere out west and trailered back to Minnesota. Everytning was solid, floor firm. Only problem was fine tuning adjustment for the clutch interrupter and cabling. Will be going up to brother cabin in July and a Glastron Association Annual Outing in August for MORE videoes.

@informationlab . . . Good shape when my brother got it. Floor and transom solid. He found it somewhere out on the West coast area.

Looks great. I have one too. Needs a little work on the tilt motor, and some electrical, but its still in great shape. I think the mist green is the nicest color out of all of them. My Dad bought it new at the boat show here in Canada and it was pointing up in the air on a 45 degree angle! Wish I was around to see it! What engine is in that one? I believe mine has the OMC

@mnimage388 Dude. I was thinking the same damn thing. They could keep the general styling of the old boats with todays technology and creature comforts. A modern/retro GT150 would be SWEEEEEET. Hell, they could even make a special edition Live And Let Die version. I would also love to see a Jetflite retro remake. My fave ski boat ever.

Dont understand Glastron why they dont build some new Line of this Boat, like SeaRay did it with its Pachanga. Really nice Boat, build a 2012 Version :-)
