Boys from Mer (Murray Island) in the Eastern Torres Strait Islands perform dances from their island, accompanied by drumming and singing in their Meriam Mir language. Students from Djarragun College, they performed at the Weipa Fest, the Cultural Festival in Weipa, at the Cape York west coast.

  • both of these dances are not from Murray Island. the first dance is from Poruma (Coconut island) and the second dance is from Masig (Yorke Island) which are both in the central island. the songs are not sung in Miriam mir.....
