Russia can be seen from Alaska. On a clear day depending on weather an altitude.The earths smaller curvature of the earth is of a shorter distance When you approach the top of the earth or the bottom.. It's only about a few miles between a large Russian island and American islands called the Diomedes. Big island is Russia. And they have their Red flag flying. That's been yrs ago when I was a young military guy. Made me want to learn geography.

I think everyone has missed the point. It doesn't matter whether or not she can actually see Russia but the fact that she believes it helps her in anyway when it comes to foreign relations with Russia. It's not like see can see the Kremlin.

Dude, I've lived in the coastal areas of Alaska, I've never seen Russia, even on a clear day, what can you see? Small islands dotting the coastline that the Inuit use for rituals and burial grounds
