How I wish they could have had some of these kisses in GWTW and not just in pictures. I don't remember a kiss when Rhett woke up Scarlett when she had a bad dream, he just held her in his arms.

As a matter of fact, these photos are taken from scenes which existed in the initial version of GWTW. Sadly, I don't know where the original print is, but I can assure you that it is much more longer than the actual version. Some of the photos are from their honeymoon. For example, the photo where Rhett kissed Scarlett when she had a nightmare was from a scene which was filmed 14 times! I read this in an old article, from the 1940's. So, in those times, this scene WAS in the movie.

@MonikIlie GOOOOOOOD how I wish I could watch that scene!!! I really loved the honeymoon in the book, miss it in the movie.

@CJLaborda The scenes existed in the movie, but they were cut after the 1950's re-releases. Warner Bros. Studios or another film archive should release the full version of GWTW, with the deleted scenes. On the TCM forum, a person said that the movie was originally 8 hours. His message was later deleted by TCM.

I agree with BSDDomi, it's a real shame we didn't get the long, original version of the movie, I would have loved to watch it. In fact, I think that in the final version, Rhett and Scarlett have too few kisses, they should have kept some of these, if not all.

Of course, I would hope that the film would have been just bring Honeymoon kiss. but not received.

I have seen the document, making of a legend. it said that the film has been published exactly as it is filmed-scenes has never been more than what we can watch the movie. it is true that the film was originally written for eight-hour film script. but the movie itself has never been so long! and of course always when you shoot film, take photographs on the side. most of these pictures are just them - will never be filmed, but the actors posing and flashing cameras.

I heard the deleted scenes were eventually destroyed after they cut the movie in the 1950's. Back then there were no DVD's, so they did not feel it was necessary to keep the deleted scenes. Now, they and WE regret that decision!
