From Buckley's Guide for the Banjo, this is a brass band tune that James Buckley arranged for the banjo. We played it in the parlor of the 1858 John Wornall House in Kansas City, Mo.

  • You guys need to record this stuff on CD's, or atleast MP3's. Its such great and entertaining music!

    Thanks a lot guys.

  • Excellent bones work, Cuffie. Few folks can rattle well in 6/8 time. Carl's not so shabby on the banjo. But we all know that I am better looking. --Bonedog

  • That was great!

  • Ole Massa Cuffie sure do clack dem bones good...

  • Its fascinating! I'm really loving the old american sound, I've been playing about 18 months and fell compeletly in love with the banjo from day one. I've got a minstrel tune on my channel as well called "Colorado Buck Dance", have a look if you like.

  • Mr. Rhodes, i'm the bones player Kyle, and thanks very much for the kind words! Carl is playin a copy of a James Ashborn Banjo, circa 1852. All of the instruments we play are authentic. Seeing that they did not have Nylon then, All of the banjo strings are made out of gut.

  • You guys are fantastic! Where can I get an old timey banjo like that? Is it nylon strung?
