Another week and another loss. The defense did enough to win despite the injuries but our pathetic offense could not get it done in the Georgia Dome.

About the fumble;

The call on the field was a touchdown, which is why the play got blown dead. Some have done a little rule book reading on this, and the officials made the right call, since the call on the field was a touchdown, the ball cannot be advanced.

I haven't checked it myself. But I have read it on several different forums where some quoted the rule book. And I guess it makes a lot of sense.

As a Falcons fan I'd like to say that you're doing a great job on your (p)reviews! It's amazing how objective you stay. I couldn't do it!

Thanks for the compliment. I am a pretty severe homer in some ways, but with this and the shwo we do I try to keep it pretty legit. I certainly love my squad and always feel like they can take the next step, but hey, facts are facts!

Oldschool, I was just wondering what your take on the Probowl roster was? I mean I do not see Fitzgerald and Boldin (who plays for a team that basically just passes) starting ahead of White and Smith whose yards are better while they run and pass. The NFC South got robbed in many aspects. The one that bothers me the most in Williams not being in there. Most TDs in the NFL, best running average, top 4 in yards with far less carries than Peterson, Portis, or Turner have.  No fumbles as well.

I agree on DWill. No way Portis gets that spot over him. South gets no respect in general which blows ass. Hard to argue Fitz and Boldin. You can't punish them for their offensive system. Sucks for Smitty.

I thought Ruud deserved some mention as well, but hey, it is a popularity contest.

On the tape, it seemed like the whistle wasn't blown yet. but I think you make a great point. If it was blown he would have been flagged.

Maybe the refs decided he was down at the one after the play finished = White throwing down the cb.

Thank you! At the beginning of the season I was optimistic about Matt Ryan and Michael Turner, but I never would've expected this. 8-8 or maybe a winning season is what I was hoping for back then.

I might live in Holland, but I made sure everybody in my neighborhood knew the Falcons made the playoffs! - Kudos to you by the way, I wouldn't be able to stay objective!
