  • is your left side stronger than the right side? because you flex your knees when doing right side reps

  • @freedoomcr yeah I'm left handed. Noticed that towards the end of the set that I was starting to dip. Good call

  • what do you mean when you say GS?

  • @inikoni girevoy sport/kettlebell sport

  • @MBodyStrength ok you are going to have to write something on explosive strength training and why it doesn't cause hypertrophy. When think of explosive power type athletes like sprinters, power lifters etc.. all of them are pretty big. The only RKC guy who I have seen who is not big but who also does some phenomenal stuff is Franz Sniderman. I train BJJ and I dont want to get physically bigger I just want to get faster and stronger.

  • @snamone comes down to body type and what you're training for. Like they say, eat to get big:) When you see sprinters, lifters who are big you don't see their diet or what kind of explosive training they are doing. Are they doing multiple sets (4+) etc. I stick to a couple because my goal is purely strength. I am in the process of putting together a manual on how to build muscle doing this kind of training by I focus on the martial artists and tactical crowd where size is of little importance.

  • You're a beast man. Thanks for the tips, just what I was looking for.

  • fantastic stuff man! I could also tell you left handed. I'm too btw.. right now I'm working to increase v02 sets with a 24, and throwing in 28 and 32 snatch sets on other days. at 49 years of age and only a couple of years of kb training behind me, I'm cool with that :) last time I had 30 sets/6 reps per set. Although the stuff you're doing is MUCH harder. to just keep going, no rest. whole different ballgame. great info, great job!

  • Hey Marcus thanks for the tips! I am currently trying to progress from my 53's to an 80lb kettlebell (big jump but it's all I have for now). I can snatch two 53's no problem but the single 80lb one is tough, mainly for my grip coming down but I also have to step into it! I was wondering if there's a general rule I can go by as far as is there a certain # of swings or cleans or anything else I should be able to do with the 80 before I attempt snatching it? Thanks for everything!

  • @snamone Kettle bell athlete/lifter(s) are small because they lift relatively low weight. No one snatches a 200lb kb, the person that could would be a monster! you will never look like Derek Poundstone, AJ Roberts, or Tyrone Edgar swinging a 70lb KB.

  • @MBodyStrength thanks

  • This guy is an android!
