@MrDontstareitsrude You can't get back up if you don't know how to fall. You will get hurt and could potentially die if you dont know how to fall in Aikido, and Daito-Ryu.

気道です。動きがまったく違う。Takeda-ryu Maroto-ha Aiki-jutsu? There isn't this Ryu-ha in Japan. These techniques are some of Aikido, not Aiki-jujutsu. The motions are different perfecyly. -

@MrDontstareitsrude I practice Aikido and... you are right. We joke sometimes that it is Art of Blending with the Mat. Fortunately our Sensei also teaches a more severe form similar to Aikijutsu, not just the dance version. I just pray I never REALLY need it. I an happy to live a life without violent conflict. If I was a cop then I would look for something more deadly than Aikido.

NO WAY, a behind the back kotogaeshi. That was awesome!

really nice!
impressive demo.
thanks for posting.

aikido is daito-ryu
Daito-ryu is more worth learning though why would anyone want to learn a copy and watered down version of an old art form which is much deadlier.
Aikido = the art of falling on the floor

Disregarding the suspect lineage, there is legitimate skill on display here. Posture, timing, movement are all very good.

the first technique is fantastic the move is great. and the technique at 0:42 also great
Are you talking about the video or the comments Silvy711? LMAO!
I say practice what makes you happy. When it comes down to real situations you better know it inside and out and hope to god its effective. Suspect Lineage or not!

@MrDontstareitsrude and Daito ryu practitioners don't fall on the floor? Really. A huge majority of the techniques found in Aikijujutsu are also found in Aikido, only slightly different or called differently. There's just a small degree of difference between the two.
