The west coast is quite beautiful and the sun followed us most of the time.
Arthur's Pass was stunning and so was all of the countryside. Stopped at Hokitika and walked near the Franz Josef Glacier, then around Lake Matheson to see beautifully views of the Fox Glacier. On to Wanaka and Queenstown. The Milford Sound trip was so wet, it just poured, half way up we decided to go back to Queenstown. That was good because we got up the chairlift which is not to be missed.
May 2010.

  • Mt Cook slipped in early, it was at the end of the journey but wanted Lake Matheson to end the show.
