  • Always preffer to be on the kendo side of those fights, i find it easier to defend against a longer weapon

  • looks like a cluster fuck of chaos to me

  • Quick Question : From my perspective it looks more like the Foreigners vs Naginata Club members and not the IBU selected team members ? Is this a fun match up, self organized or the competition that tends to take place once a year at IBU between the Kendo Team & the Naginata Team (where the instructors take it personal) ? Again, I'm guessing the Foreigners by the way they move and the fact that it looks kinda like the Naginataka a tearing them apart.

  • @kibaloboferoz

I disagree about most of the different ryu being about tradition than actual combat, considering how things like katori shinto ryu etc. were well known for producing skilled swordsmen.

  • This audio made me laugh ROFL

    aargh~tap~tap~aaaarrrgh~bang~tap~argh~ARRGH

    :D

  • Be carefull with this guy lolinternetslol he likes to make broad general comments and come across as an expert of sorts

  • That's why both arts are usually taugh in the same place or should be taught.Offcourse America is the exeption since we kinda came late into the picture and also because of our vast spanse it hasn't been propagated all over the states. And the other factor been that there are really not that many highly qualify instructors, even when they are japanese

  • First off is a sport budo base discipline and nothing more, that it might hve. a martial application because of is combat sport nature is just a by product. Now be taught like the samurai? What are you talking about kenjutsu? There're schools or dojos for that persuit but you don't get to free spar in that enviroment at least not until achieving high ranking.Aside from tht the samurai were more about ceremonies & traditions than actual combat, that's why Musashi was consider a mad man.

  • Do they have enough space to do this? Naginata players tend to circle their opponents in shiai

  • no their samurai students.
