They should have recorded this in 1988, this one, in my opinion related to the friendship between Bobby Brown and the other 4 NE members, somewhat common to "Competition".
"Candy Girl" was filmed in Boston. "Is This The End" was the 2nd single and video. "Popcorn Love" was the 3rd video and single for NE. "Jealous Girl' was was the B-side to "Popcorn Love' also reached the charts, but did not have a video. And Yes, "Popcorn Love & She Gives Me A Bang' were both filmed in the UK on the same day. They wore the same clothes, but each member changed with each other for the different videos. NE 4 LIFE People!
I knew that they were'nt going to make a video for "Jealous Girl" which was probaly the reason why they performed it on Soul Train in 1984 (they were suppose to be on the show in the previous season but touring conflicts and video shoots prevented that plus the 1982-83 season was short due to Don Cornelius' brain surgery, meaning a limited guestlist of performers). "She Gives Me A Bang" was suppose to be the 4th and last single, but it was cancelled for some reason.
Are u crazy nkotb was bigger while they were big but they were a fad noone cares about them anymore.New Edition still has fans cause they grew from a boyband to solo superstars something nkotb did not have the talent to do.People would still be excited if new Edition came to your town for a concert or were doing a new album.
I think its the other way around for a few reasons. Ralph got taller on the two UK videos compared to Ricky. Also, Bobby's hair was shorter on "Candy Girl" and "Is This The End", but on "Popcorn Love" and "She Gives Me A Bang" his hair got longer. On a UK TV show when they did the 12 inch version to Candy Girl and Soul Train (early 1984), Bobby's hair was longer than that. If I'm not mistaken, their UK tour came after their national tour.
Wait, I take that last one back. The UK Tour came first. It was'nt until after the national tour, New Edition were gettin' ripped off and got pissed at Maurice Starr (according to Behind The Music), which was around late 1983 to early 1984. Around the last promotion for the Candy Girl album (early 1984), they appeared on Soul Train and Dancin' On Air (although their voices had changed compared to the songs they recorded a year and a half before so they had no choice but to lip-synch).
