I'm surprised it was this close. My friends bone stock G8 GT runs consistent 13.50's @ 105+ mph in the 1/4 mile. I know the automatic G35S ran 13.9 @ 101 in the magazines... But, those are just magazines. They just give a basic idea of the cars potential. The G35 is extremely quick for a V6 though, no question about it. Good race.

G37 sedan can run mid 13's all day, hell Road and Track got 13.6 @ 105.2 mph. VQ35HR sedans run 13.7-13.9 all day, look at dragtimes . com. There is even a stock 5AT HR sedan running 13.5 because of his excellent launch technique, but he trapped at 103 mph. A normal G8 GT runs mid-high 13's, so theyr'e closer than you think. Now obviously with twice the displacement and 50 more hp and 130 more lb-ft it will beat it on the top end. Around town the G is quicker off the line.

That isn't the quarter mile mark many g8's post mid 13 sec in 1/4 bone stock I ran a 13.445 before mods I run a 12.656 @111 with exhaust intake and tune. There's no way that was the quarter mile make you g35 are lucky to see low low 14's stock

I have a G8 Gt, the are pretty quick but I noticed the problem with them is they have tall gears in the rear. Does anyone know the gear ratio in the g35S? Just curious. The G8's have 2.92 gears in the rear. They need the 3.26 differential that the G8 GXP has and they would really move.
