Believe me, most of the panoramic shots are in wide angle. The mountains are much higher (and more impressive, if that's possible) than they appear here.
For example, the long shot of Laguna Carhuacocha starting about 1:15 pans to Siula and Yerupaja. These mountains are 6344 and 6634 meters, well over 2000 meters above the lake (4100m).
