@StoryeTime: lol No, the Moon does not have any special effect on water. In fact it affects all the matter on Earth by its gravity. But water, as it is liquid,tends to flow towards the Moon, causing tide.The tide can only be observed due to the extreme amount of water there is in the seas and oceans.You can hardly see it on your local pond, as the effect is miniscule.A lift should have a much greater effect on you, as the G-forces involved are incomparably greater.Do you take lifts into account?
