This is Owen Pallett (associated with and occasionally touring with the Arcade Fire)'s one-man-band Final Fantasy live at the Waterfront in Norwich, October 22nd 2006. The projections on the screen are made live by a lady named Steph with an over-head projector and transparencies. The backing music is NOT pre-recorded before the show, or generated by a back-up band: Owen uses a Boss Loop Station footpedal to record his violin intro to the song as he's playing it, then he sets it to loop through the song as he goes on to add another bit, and so on. I met him afterwards, he's a really nice guy.
Great song. Just a note to the poster, I don't think he's actually part of the Arcade Fire, he just tours with them sometimes.

I met Owen too!
He is so lovely ain't he? He said I was pretty! Best day of my life. Heh.
He is my complete hero.
I only carry on playing my Violin because of him.
Can't wait till his third album Heartland comes out by the end of this year. =]

He makes me want to learn the violin. I'm looking forward to Heartland too, I don't think it will disappoint.
