The BBC stooped to an all time low this evening. The BBC mission states their purpose is "To enrich people's lives with programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain.
I couldn't believe my eyes; I caught the last 2 1/2 minutes of tonight serving of the weakest link (sat 21st June 2008).

After watching the televisual experience that they call entertainment, it is no wonder that the youth of Britain according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) they are the most unhappiest and depressed in the western world. Our children are a captive audience. Many parents lock their children into their homes every evening for fear of them being abducted, stabbed or worse still, blown to bits by a maniac terrorist suicide bomber.
For some families, unfortunately, the only entertainment that they have is the box in the corner of the room, but to have the privilege of igniting this box into action, here in the UK it requires a Licence, the current fee for the BBC TV licence today stands at £139.50 for a colour licence and £47.00 for a black-and-white licence.

Whether or not you watch the BBC, the fee is still payable to the BBC.

Tonight's weakest link, quizzed hand held puppets, I only witnessed the characters Soo and Roland Rat, thankfully, all other puppets had been eliminated before I tuned in.

The questions that I heard involved, War and Religion, Hanging and stitching up were also mentioned by the rat.
Soo the hand held glove puppet was the victor in this atrocious BBC TV presentation, she? / It? Gave the £11,500 winnings (licence fee) to the WWF charity

The program, I thought was a stitch up, a blatant scam and I feel the BBC are laughing at the licence fee payer.

The Majority of the Citizens from the UK, 58% of those who were polled by the daily telegraph wanted the fee scrapped.

We as a nation endure threatening letters, Intimidatory, sinister and menacing TV and radio adverts and all of these factors are tantamount to bullying by the BBC, they use TV Licensing and Capita Group PLC to bully the citizens into paying.

I've a good mind to call crimestoppers, (Rat on a Rat), and report the bastards at the BBC.

  • I think you're being extremely hypocritical over something that's only a bit of fun. And that's what this episode was. A harmless bit of fun.

  • I love Sue! x

  • this was my favourite episode of the weakest link ever

  • you leave with nothing

    THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • @zearag I'm Glad that you agree with me and think that the BBC TV Licence should now be abolished.

Threats are subjective, what you may see as not harmful somebody else may, do you agree with that statement?

  • @itslefty2004 Well of course they have to check! It's hardly a 'threatening correspondance'. How would you feel if you were paying for something that your neigbours were scamming for free? Personaly however I don't see why they don't trash the TV licence because as you point out not everyone enjoys BBC. I wouldn't mind them showing adverts like the other channels myself. Maybe now we've all 'gone digital' the systems will change.

  • @zearag surprisingly enough, even families that don't possess a Television set are still contacted via threatening correspondence, and the threat is normally backed up with a visit from a "Licensing Officer", The families then have to prove that they don't have a television. so there you have it, Muppets at the BBC and more muppets at TV Licensing, we just can't get away from these muppets, can we?

  • @itslefty2004 nobody forces ppl to pay for it. You dont want to pay for a tv licence then don't buy a tv.

  • I'm not worked up at all, I was just being polite and replying back to your comments.

    In a calm fashion. :o)
