Yeah, this is an Irish song, It's basically about a girl who's boyfriend has gone off to war, it's a lament focusing on passion, love and encouragement.

The chorus basically translates as

Walk, Walk ,

Walk my Love,

Walk steadfast, and walk quietly,

Walk to the door, and escape with me,

Any may you stay safe my dear,

That last sentence is a bit difficult to translate accurately, but that's the general gist, it also uses 'go dte' , which is incidentally of northern dialect.

@CristallDarcy yes it is and i love it! i'm pretty sure it is in irish/gaelic - celtic woman does an AMAZING version of it too, you should look it up, not trying to be presumptuous but i think if you like this youll like that too :) it is very good.
