Am I a terrorist because I write poetry?
A terrorist because Im 16 years of age go to school, eat, sleep, and walk the way you do
A terrorist because I pray to god, drop bombs when Im writing songs, or blow up if you tick me off

To my friends, Im just a human being


A human being that writes poetry
A human being that is 16 years of age who goes to school, eat, sleeps and walks the way we do
A human being cause I pray to god for better days
A human being cause I aspire to become rapper
A human being cause I get mad too
Nah, I get it, its because I look different, with a towel wrapped, and this brown skin that I can't wipe off, with hair on my chin, a minority is what people think of me
let me paint this picture vividly
I have carmel skin, a cloth wrapped with centries of rich culture embedded in each stitch, my hair is a gift from god a blessing, a connection I just can't cut off
On dictionary.com the definition is the use of violence and threats to coerce, especially for political purposes
but why is my face up when u look up the words turban terrorist on google images
You see I have a friend a little chubby about my age a year younger, outside the gurudwara about to leave, when he heard "go back to ur country, and cut ur hair, u terrorist" he let the best get to his self esteem, questioning his dad where do I go when I was born here, the land of the free or so it seems
He screamed back in tears is it cause I cry differently or does my 4 chambered heart pump blood asymmetrically I just don't get it dad please help me
He looked up for some guidance and all he saw was a blank stare

this is not spoken poetry// this is spoken verbally of the surpressed// Im not here to impress you with my writing and my dialogue// Im just here to speak for the voiceless// the scared, the visually impaired of the mental genocide// I hope you could see as clearly as I do past the clouds where the skies blue// there was the KKK and the Nazis but to America my face is on the most wanted// why aren't they belittled, and struck down to the point where they wanna strangle themselves// put their beliefs aside and fit mentally on the same shelf// I know they think of us as an ugly race// If god creates all then, how can he make a mistake// either ur hatred for my identity is misplaced or// I ask you this, who is the terrorist
