I have to agree with you on that, My favourate album was Ascendency but they did not sel out with Crusade, They just represented something they didn't want to represent and tried to alter their style. Unfortunatly it fell in bad taste with most fans. I love Shogun though, perfect balance between the Crusade and the other albums. I must add that some tracks on the Crusade are killer though

they didnt split up. They got a new rhythm guitarist and a temporary vocalist.

the crusade sucked compared to ascendancy and ember to inferno. any real trivium fan would know that. The crusade was a sellout album.
