@CaptainCrules4life French society was full of secret societies, and conspiracy was a huge part of the revolution. It was what fuelled the Reign of Terror. Supposed enemies of the revolution were found behind every corner. So to say that illuminated thinkers (those inspired by the enlightenment) played no part in the revolution is just absurd. I am sure that those with great influence moved the common man to action in atleast one way or another.

This is why Thomas Jefferson was against the ignorant bloodlust of the French. He though the Jacobins were vile and cruel.

@LoserFli yeah and european royalty are illuminati..

Charlotte should be held up as a saint.

@LoserFli - you know I had a gret idea, let me know what you think.
My idea: that all conspiracy nuts be forcibly compelled to have their own forum, their own youtube (wacko-tube?) so they can communicate directly with other conspiracy nuts and the rest of the sane world could more easily ignore them, the key is you cannot comment on normal people forums, what do you think?
All of you kooks could meet in your mom's basement free to speak your wacky theories without criticism!

@CaptainCrules4life That's Jean-Paul Marat.

Let's not be naive please.
Le Boeuf became famous for a lie; He never captured Marie Antoinette and family, they did indeed leave France successfully. The dictators calling themselves the leaders of a "revolution", had an m.o., even in later times via Napoleon, which was always to chase out Royalty, create hysteria, and propaganda full of barbaric lies to incite fear, in the places they were conquering. It never changed. Le Boeuf was part of the "new aristocracy" which made the old aristocracy seem like choir boys.

@Tomohawwwk I did not say that Marie Antoinette was inventor of the newspaper. She wanted to publish a free weekly newsletter to inform the people of changes in France, and feedback from the public. FACT. She was tired of the tabloids, and wanted a direct newsline. She also knew that people were going to need to be kept abreast of the constitutional changes in France, as well as opportunities in French-American Territory.
