Both my dogs know when the strawberries at home are ready, They'll wait until they are perfectly ripe before eating them. Luckily my Seeing Eye Dog puppy (Speckles) didn't eat any when i went picking strawberries at a strawberry farm.

Ha Ha my SD eats strawberries when off duty to. Goes into the garden and picks them it is funny. I dont think it is a bad behavior cuz she doesnt dig them up or anything.

Newport hasn't really destroyed anything, yet! lol, but he has massively chewed up his leashes, and some electrical cords. (He wasn't hurt, and they are well put away now.) Plus, he knows what he is not supposed to chew on now :)
He eats chocolate. He'll do anything for chocolate and apples. It has never harmed him in any way. He also rummages through a certain garbage can, no other ones. He's an interesting little fella :)

@SchnauzerGirl1000 Ricki's brother Rivers ate chocolate last month. Unfortunately it took his life in shocking fashion. NEVER LET YOUR DOG EAT CHOCOLATE!

I was just wandering, seeing Eli had eaten the strawberries, can dogs safely eat strawberries especially the ones they sell at shops etc. So do they possibly contain some chemical that might be harmful for the dogs? Pesticites etc?

@Levanoir The strawberries didn't seem to bother him, but they were grown in my parents back yard so there were no chemicals on them.

Mister doesn't destroy much of anything, thank goodness! He does get into garbage if I accidentally leave the kitchen door open when I'm gone, so I am careful about that. When he was a puppy, however, he'd "destroy" my living room in a funny way...he'd pull all the cushions off the sofa & make a "nest" which he'd then fill with whatever he could carry: books, videotapes, soda bottles, stuffed animals. once even a bag of rice and some potatoes from the kitchen counter, etc.
