What are you people talking about ? Go back to the Constitution, our right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness? It's a free country, everything should be legal so long as I'm not preventing you from your life liberty and pursuit of happiness, like killing you. It's a free country. If you want to call me a victim because I smoke pot then that's my right to be a victim.

You can't count yourself as a victim. Remember, the point of the discussion is legalization. If it's legal you cut out the criminal element. I agree that there are victims because it's illegal, due to the criminal element. But as I said before, if you grow it yourself and smoke it in your own home, yard, ect. then there are no victims.

Your comment was that there are no victimless crimes. Not that are no crimes. My point was that if it's decriminalized and people grow it at home, and are not buying from an illegal drug chain that leads back to drug cartels, then there are no victims. Because it's illegal, there are people that are victims of violent crime associated with the criminal element . If it's legal and someone grows there own plant and then smokes a joint from that plant in their home, then who is the victim?

The problem is you are not just legally growing/making a drug and using it. You are buying it from an economic chain of criminals that commit robberies, beatings, and murder in the act of their distribution process.

If Ice Cream were illegal, there would be gang members and police being killed by illegal distributors who want to protect their territories.

So the users aren't the victims, they are the supporters of violence when they purchase the product. Odd, eh?

Exactly, there's a term for it, "Mala prohibita." That's Latin for, "evil because it's prohibited." It basically means it's a crime because we say it's a crime. To answer your question, there are several possible victims (though I DON'T necessarily agree with these). Maybe the drug dealer your funding gets a gun and kills someone. Your hurting yourself, maybe your the victim.

Here's a question then.....since marijuana is illegal and smoking it would be considered a crime, If I am smoking a joint in the privacy of my own home, who's the victim?

Ok, in the most very literal sense, yes it's a crime but then so is speeding. If you speed does that make you a criminal?

meant to say: 'someone growing a pot plant and then smoking a joint from that plant is committing a crime.'

They'll send us off to slaughter to fight for the interests of the powers that be, not for you and me, but for the religious conflicts that our puppet politicians are employed to fight.
