  • Just want to say a big thank you to all Republicans and Tea Baggers. You all voted for this idiot and in his first week he announced 1500 state jobs cut and the abolishing of pre-k. Thanks again for helping to destroy our state.

  • olllllll

  • I thought the moderators did a great job except for asking the question, "Do you think the next Lt. governor should be a woman?" I thought a good response to that question should have been, "Well not only should she be a woman but a gay minority woman with a disability."

  • Before watching this I knew very little about these canidates but I was slightly leaning toward Vader Plaats only because I didn't know anything about Roberts and a Branstad sequel didn't get me too excited. After watching, I felt Vander Plaats acted too rehearsed (fake) but I liked his answers for the most part. I felt Branstad handled Vander Plaats attacks well and his prior experience and knowledge did sway me more than I expected. Roberts did fine but lacks something I think.

  • Branstad is grumpy.

  • Branstad implies what Vanderplaats says is false because of where it came from instead of saying what statement was false. Branstad's philosophy: "What I say is true because I am telling you it is. If someone proves it is not, ignore them, they just hate me." Reminds me of Obama.
