i have a question / observation.....
ive only got 4 speedflys on a bobcat 16,5
from what it looks like in this video, being in constant half to 3/4 brakes seems like its making the wings very unstable. is it safe to assume they should just be letting their hands all the way up to keep the wing flying?
like i said i know nothing of this sport but ive got a skydiving background.

Please learn paragliding first.... I would hate to see a death video.... Speed gliding isn't something to just try to pick up and learn from scratch. **Base jumpers don't just pick up base jumping... they learn to skydive first!**

only in France and you need to have a very good skiing level because you need to no think about your skis

The whole point is that you go off cliffs and big jumps. This is just the learning part.

All I see is a lot of falling and needlessly and significantly more complicated than normal skiing! Unless you go off cliffs or big jumps, how is this better?

No, it´s about half the size of a paraglider.

well i don't think that people will go speed riding on crouded slopes... :)
this shit can open new trails imposible until now...
where can we buy such a paragliding or glider or kite or whatever it is ? :)

Well, I bought my speed rider in a kite surfer shop in Austria, it was about €1500...
