This video was taken in November 2006 at St Andrews Bay in South Georgia. It was estimated that there were a quarter of a million penguins just on this beach alone, and they were accompanied by thousands of fur seals and elephant seals, as well as other seabirds such as petrels. I spent 6 months on the island in 1992. I was a Royal Engineer(ARMY)Electrician. There were 8 RE'S and about 30 - 35 infantry. It was a unique experience. People have to pay a small fortune to visit South Georgia. So I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have stayed there for free.
