  • There is no holiness in self-mutilation, damage to the body, tattoos, piercings, etc. These are considered tamasic (ignorant) in yogic texts. (The Bhagavad-Gita, etc.) Ah, you want stop your "global warming" nightmare? Stop your hemorrhage. You'd know there is no global warming, but cooling. And that outer stories of eco-destruction are self-manifested when you ravage yourself by seminal loss. Your world-dream is nothing but a projection of your own body. Actual holiness allows men to see this.

  • "Nerd" just refers to the strong, penetrating mind of a male who is not a waster. However, a man can have that mind, through continence, without the "awkward" connotations of the word "nerd," as have many great men in history.

  • Thank you lex798!

Strength & bliss to you and your family/children!

I see two valid levels of morality: 1) The male trying to keep it to one loss a month; when conscious, only with wife, plus with hope/intention for progeny. (sex's purpose). More times monthly is suitable if trying for conception, especially if seeking a certain birth date/chart for child. The other level is full celibacy. Rare! Hard! Don't go for that yet if wanting a family. You can always go more chaste after kids are born.

  • You are a lucky fellow! I hope in next life SOMEBODY -- some wise man or father even breathes a hint of this timeless wisdom to me. I went to Catholic school 8 years; yet none gave ONE WORD of moral guidance. I hope by guiding some my karma's better next time.

Night losses are natural. Nothing be too upset over. You feel the weakness after, sure. But it is nature's way to keep the organ alive/healthy. Maybe you'll want children & a family some day? Greater celibacy is for God-seekers and yogis.

  • One who masturbates is not celibate in the least. The masturbator is usually the least celibate of all, since his opportunities for lust and creative loss are so easy, and he avails himself so often. To think that a masturbator could be considered a celibate like asking "Can the Spotted Deer live under the sea? Lobsters in the trees?" It's completely nonsensical.

Rippjeans no longer has an account here so I answered for her.

  • Everybody likes the orgasm, so there is nothing special about you. It's good that you at least have an inkling that sex is validated by its role in procreation. So how many children have you produced yet from all of your f-----ing of "women," idiot? I am celibate, and I have quite a few. My guess is that you are succeeding at neither fatherhood, nor self-control. By the way, don't come into our threads with profanity, or stupidity.

  • I'm realizing my dreams in so many ways right now - realizing things I wasn't even fully aware of. Thanks to the brotherhood for taking me there.

  • Indeed- the return is a long way back, but if the happiness is trillions of times greater than the average guy, it is definitely worth attempting.

  • If more people were celibate, us asexuals would not feel so left out in the relationship world. We just cannot succeed with a sexual person (most of the time). I support it fully. I am asexual and pretty much live the same lifestyle (sexless) but it isn't my choice; it is my identity and I love it!

  • @DivineFellowship don't you need a guru to practice brahmacharya?? can you achieve these 'powers' from just doing continence and basic meditation? are there specific teachings that you'll need once you become a brahmacharya student? What does one actually need to see the spiritual benefits of this practice? appreciate your take Divine Fellowship...

  • I wish Christians would just castrate themselves so they could be really holy.

  • This is beautiful.

  • Is this why nerds are so smart?
