Bill Maher speaks about Los Angeles Animal Services Regulations for Animals in Entertainment

Last year, Los Angeles Animal Services established the first comprehensive permit requirements for Animals Used in Entertainment, which held exhibitors accountable for humane animal care, as well as public safety. Outside interests have now pressured the Department into creating a new watered-down draft of those requirements which effectively weaken the regulations in place. Los Angeles Animal Services exists to serve animals, putting their welfare above and beyond business interests.
