Heres a little video on how to get the Plasma Beam. Its a favored beam by everyone.
[Note: Dont ask again why i had the Ice Beam turned off. Oh and i also used the Chainsaw Beam glitch here. XD]
Upgrades Obtained-
Plasma Beam: The plasma beam is favored by many metroid players. It has the raw abillity to peirce (or pass) through enemys. Its quite damaging too. The Plasma Beam cannot be fused with the Spazer Beam (i dont know why so dont ask me) unless you do the VAR glitch (you fuse the 2 beams together. Its possible but it can crash the game)
How to get the Plasma Beam: Starting from the locked door. To unlock it, you need to kill Draygon. After the door is unlocked, follow the little path. (Space Jump up, then head right then head down) The Beam is in a room with these red/pink colored Space Pirates. Their armor cannot be penitrated by any other weapon but the Beam is not guarded (so you can just snag it). After that, kill all the pirates with the Beam (charge beam shots doesnt work for some reason...) and backtrack. Your final objective here is to head through the Entrance to Norfair Depths (shown in a later video).
Beam Glitches: The glitch is to formulate the Plasma Beam and the Spazer Beam together. To do that, select Spazer Beam and then put the cursor over Hi-Jump Boots. After that, press Left+A simotaniously. If done too early, you will accidentally unequip the boots. If done too late, you'll unequip the Spazer Beam but re-equip the Plasma Beam. If done right, the letters Var (from Varia Suit) appears.
Murder Beam: This beam is the fusion of Charge, Ice, Wave, Spazer, and Plasma. In other words: All 5 beams. It got its name because its deadly. This beam can create a pillar infront of where Samus shot. Enemys touching this will damage (or destroy) them BUT shooting it will automatically cause the game to crash. However there are certain ways to prevent this (i'll show in a later video). This glitch isnt very useful exept for the last boss of the game.
Spacetime Beam: This beam is the fusion of Charge, Ice, Spazer, and Plasma. It got its name because when you use it, it resets the game, including items, bosses and stuff. But if you use it in a wrong area, the game will crash. (I can try to show it but i've never done it before) Beware: Right after you use the Spacetime beam and you save, you will lose all progress (and restart the whole game) but you dont lose your equipments (exept missles, which is good. Super Missles are way better).
Chainsaw Beam: This beam is a fusion of Charge, Wave, Spazer, and Plasma. Suprzingly, its stablized and it doesnt crash the game when you use it unless you fire a charged shot or a power bomb combination. It got its name because when you use it, it cuts everything (exept creatures, it doesnt deal any damage) infront of samus. This beam isnt very useful... but its cool. It also has a very fast firing rate (but you cant see it. You can only hear it).
When you "fuse" the beams (var/timespace/murder beam) you can only fire a charged shot LEFT. or it will crash thegame
