Joe: *shifts Lauren and slowly walks in the hospital room* uh hi
Nick; hi
Joe: *hands him Lauren* how are you feeling
Nick: like I was hit by a car *smiles slightly*
Joe: well its good to see you are awake
Nick: thanks *smiles at Lauren* and how are you princess
Lauren: *giggles*


Nick/Joe: Im Sorry.Youre sorry? What?
Joe: you have been like my brother since pre-k and I have been a huge jerk. Im sorry man
Nick: you dont need to apologize I deserved all of it. You are allowed o hate me
Joe: I cant hate you. Even if I wanted to. Which I did for a while besides if it wasnt for you that little girl wouldnt be here. But um there is one thing I want to ask. Do you love her?
Nick: who?
Joe: Demi. Do you love Demi? *looks down afraid of his answer*
Nick: of course I love her. I always will but not as much as you love her or as much as she loves you.
Joe:*looks up* what?
Nick: the way you look at each other. Its just. Well you two are in love it isnt hard to notice. I wont get in the way anymore. And thanks for looking after Lauren while Ive been in here and just through everything
Joe: its nothing. She looks a lot like you. Shes been trying to talk. Well both of them have been trying.
Nick: Lauren can you say dada?
Lauren: da
Nick: *smiles* its a start. I cant believe she is almost eight months old
Joe: yea I know what you mean *yawns* when can you leave?
Nick: as soon as someone signs me out
Joe: do you want me too? You can keep Lauren for the night since you havent seen her in awhile
Nick: ok, um thanks here you take her and sign me out and Ill get changed

Demi: *trying to feed Zach* come on sweetie, its yummy bananas *smiles*
Zach: *does nothing*
Demi: please eat for mommy. So you can sleep.
Zach: *eats*
Demi: good boy. Daddy should be home soon.
Zach: *smiles* dada *claps*
Demi: Zachey! *picks him up* you said daddy. Your first word!! We gotta call your daddy. *tickles him*
Zach: *giggles*

Joe: *answers his phone* Demi? Is everything ok?
Demi: yes everything is fine, but someone wants to say hi. *whispers: come on Zachey*
Zach: dada
Joe: *smiles* thats my boy. Be good for mommy Ill be home soon buddy
Demi: see you soon. I love you
Joe: I love you too *hangs up*

[He said he loves me. I havent heard him say that in months. But now I have more hope in everything]
