  • jin when i try to pin my shoulders i feel my back (lat) muscles tense up. is this right?

  • @kelly980 hmm..this is tough to answer, but "tense" is not how i would describe it, rather "stretch" your lats, like a cat arching his back.

  • Have a nice holiday you two as well. Thanks a lot for your informative vidoes :)

  • @GamesPlayer1 have a safe and great holiday!

  • Hey Jin this is Gaan Sao not Kwaan sao right? Kwaan sao is tan sao with bong sao, deflecting with the bong?

  • @socraticproblem86 Nope. You need to get that from your normal workouts. Wing Chun does have health benifits, which will help your muscle building. I mean...Sure, you can get lean with training. However, if you want to build muscles, just do some reps for 20 min each day.

  • Your student has well built arms. Does Wing Chun have muscle building benefits?

  • wont u get hit with the hook when u move in

  • Hey Laoshi.

    1. You are awesome and thank you.

    2. After I practice this exercise for a while even solo my shoulders get a little tired, is it that I'm not used to it/not relaxing enough or is there a mechanical error in my movement?

    Thank You!!!

  • if we pay you could you teach us,in general, wing chun if we moved out to where you lived

  • looks like a gaun sau or kan sau

  • @chinaboxer OK, put another way - if you put your hand on one lat muscle then pin the shoulder on that side do you feel the muscle contract? At the moment I can't pin my shoulder without getting this contraction.

  • @chinaboxer Do your back muscles feel tense when you pin your shoulders?
