    First heard this song on King of The Hill. Bobby was singing it. Great version by Tex here. I especially like how he pronounces "courtin" as "coatin". Lol. Unless you are from the south you know that most folks pronounce it that way. So did my mom.

    My Grandmother inlaw brought me here. Lela Scribner,a great woman.,RIP. She used to sing this to my kids when they were Babies. Never knew who sang it.

    This is my very favorite version of this song! Most folks here are familiar with the Tom and Jerry version, sung by Shug Fisher, and I think that one's cute--- but for all around appeal, this one takes the cake. Good ole' Tex! Did you know today (January 12) is Tex's 108th birthday?! :D
