Flying our custom Mini IFO in the Garage.

This one is a bit smaller than a Mini IFO, and it has a custom designed Rudder. Also we don't have a landing gear because we fly mostly at the beach. We catch and toss.

We were using 2 cell batteries, but just switched to a 3 cell. We're worried we'd burn up our ESC if on full throttle for too long, but it's helpful to have the extra power when hovering.

  • Does the 3 cell provide enough power to counter the added weight?? I guess it must if you say it helps with the hover.

  • Yes the 3 cell has plenty of power. With the 2 cell it took about 90% throttle to hover, with the 3 cell it's around 60% throttle to hover.
