sounds at the beginning like you have a really bad dry knock when you start it.. I would get that checked out if you do. marvel mystery oil usually is the fix for it

@greenjeens No. What you are hearing are the lifters, and other valve train parts. Since the LS1 is an aluminum block, you hear a lot of valve train noise. I've owned six LS1 cars and all six sounded like this. It does tend to die down once engine is up to operating temp. There's nothing wrong with it. Just noisy.
