  • This playing is amazing. Even better than Szeryng's Bach solo. As for the rest of them, those who recorded this cycle, Heifetz, Menuhin, even Milstein,,there is absolutely no comparison. Grumiaux seems the only violinist (along with Szeryng) to have enough depth,,,,AND bow technique to approach this unusual music (for strings) and make it listenable.
