According to Greek mythology, Theseus had to leave his beloved Ariadne on Naxos island because the god Dyonisos demanded her. Not a bad place at all, to be left behind...

Naxos as the largest and one of the most beutiful cycladic island has offered much to discover during my 1-day tour to some of its nicest villages - such as Apiranthos, built in marble, and Halki with its famous Kitron liquor distillery - plus other sights, e.g. a thousand-years-old olive tree, one of Europe's oldest churches (Panagia Drossian) and a giant marble quarry, a half-finished colossal marble statue (Kouros) left behind from 2.500 years ago...

Don't miss Part 1 with a trip to the main town of Naxos, Chora.

  • I like your tour in Naxos.Did you visit Koronos also?

  • Thanks for your kind comment!

Our tour included the villages of Halki and Apiranthos and many other sights along the road (e.g. one of the Kuroi, Church of Panagia Drossian...).

Koronos, however, was not part of the tour.
