I remember asking a friend in the music industry why this album (King) bombed commercially and he told me that Sire really fucked it up. Although they formally released the album in February 1995, they didn't distribute it until March - by which time Elastica had just released their debut album...which had taken over the alt-rock airwaves.
Pity...as I always thought Belly was a much better band.

It's true Tanya isn't a flawless live singer, but poor P.A. monitoring could also be a factor. Her pitch is vastly better in the "Super Connected live on MTV" video.
