THE FRENCH GET AWAY WITH MURDER ,, THIS PLACE IS NOT MEANT TO EXIST YET I SPENT OVER 200 DAYS IN IT DURING MY 5 YEARS. PEOPLE ARE PUT IN SOLITARY FOR MINOR INFRACTIONS, THE LOCAL GENDARMERIE COLLABORATE WITH THE LEGION AND CLOSE AN EYE TO WHAT GOES ON .IM NOT GIVING OUT ABOUT THE PRISON AS TO BE HONEST ITS A PIECE OF PISS, ITS THE STUPIDITY OF THE FACT THAT THE FRENCH STILL HAS SOMETHING THAT IS NORMALLY NOT ALLOWED TO HAPPEN(IN ONE SENSE THEY ARE FULL OF THERE OWN CRAP ) IN ONE REGIMENT WHEN THE FRENCH DEFENCE MINISTER VISITED THE BASE , THE PRISONERS WHERE HIDDEN IN A BASEMENT . THERE ARE MEN WHO HAVE KIDS AND FAMILY WHO ARE ALSO PUT IN HERE FOR UP TO 40 DAYS AND NIGHTS AT A TIME WITHOUT SEEING THEIR FAMILY . THERE HAS BEEN NO HEATING IN THE WINTER MONTHS . THE REGULAR FRENCH ARMY HAVE LONG SINCE DONE AWAY WITH THESE CELLS BUT THE LEGION CONTINUE TO DO WHAT THEY PLEASE.
THE LEGION DOES NOT EARN ITS REPUTATION , AS AN ARMY IS FECKING SHITE, THE FRENCH LIKE TO MAKE EVERYTHING SEEM WONDERFUL , THE ROMANTIC IDEA ABOUT GOING OFF TO JOIN THE LEGION IS OVER . I SAW GOOD SOLDIERS GET TURNED DOWN AT RECRUITMENT CENTRES AS THEY ACCEPTED VAGABONDS AND OUTCASTS , THE FRENCH WANT ONLY PEOPLE WHO WILL SHUT THERE MOUTHS AND ONLY SPEAK HIGHLY OF THE LEGION AND NOT PUT IT DOWN ( IN OTHER WORDS THEYD BE HAPPY WITH A LOAD OF FAGGOTS PUTTING CAMAOFLAGE ON THEIR FACES , POLISHING UP THEIR BOOTS NICE AND SHINY EVERY FIVE MINS , SAYING YES SIR EVERY TWO SECONDS, OFFERING TO MAKE COFFEE FOR THE OFFICERS THE WHOLE TIME , LICKING DICK , AND RUNNING AROUND LIKE A TOY SOLDIER ) . ITS ALL A BIG SHOW YOU SEE . THEY PUT ALL TIME AND EFFORT INTO CEREMONIES , STUPID TRADITIONS , AND PROMOTING IT ,INSTEAD OF DOING PROPER TRAINING. THEY ARE AFRAID THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LEGION WILL GET OUT . ITS EASY TO MAKE VIDEOS WITH BACKGROUND MUSIC TO MAKE IT LOOK AWESOME. YOU WONT FIND MANY LEGIONNAIRES TALKING DOWN ABOUT THE LEGION !! WHY ? BECAUSE ITS COMMON MALE BEHAVIOUR TO MAKE ONESELF LOOK BIGGER AND BETTER THAN ONE REALLY IS . ONCE OUT OF THE LEGION PEOPLE HAVE A HIGH TENDENCY TO EITHER NOT TALK ABOUT IT OR TO BOAST ABOUT IT . PEOPLE DONT WANT TO PUT DOWN SOMETHING THEY HAVE SPENT 5,15 YEARS DOING. ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN THERE BUT I HAVE NO REGRETS IN SAYING THAT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ESPECIALLY OFFICERS I HAVE MET ARE RIDICULOUS , DISSIGUSTING , SAD INDIVIDUALS. BUT DONT GET ME WRONG, THERE ARE SOME GOOD MEN , BUT FAR TOO FEW .PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE IF YOUR THINKING OF JOINING AND DONT ..

i did this from 1977---to 1981 this video isnt all the truth i am from wigan ,lancashire i found the legion by far better than the british army i did 9 yrs in there i didnt learn fuck all within 6 months i did 4 jumps the paras we wshit em

I remember reading that infamous book Mouthfull of Rocks by Christian Jennings who joined up in the mid eighties. Its seems he was very accurate in his description of legion life. I was thinking of doing so in the early nineties when i found myself near the french border in germany but now iam glad that i did not as i could not speak french worth a shit..

i booked a flight to france to join the legion on the 25th of feb, i know its not glorious and it could kill me but every one is different and no 2 lives are the same, maybe this sort of thing is what ppl need

Okay this is the first i've seen of this prision and i've been shearching the internet like mad trying to find a video of what happens if you screw up. They don't tell you what the guid lines are maybe you can tell me why you are there, or what one does to get sent there. That can't seem very good.
