http://budurl.com/YouTubeDownloader - /20 became known as National Weed Day beginning in the 70's, when a group of students at San Rafael High School known as the "Waldos" began meeting everyday at 4:20 p.m. to smoke pot in front of a Louis Pasteur statue. Over time 420 became a code for getting high. Other's claim that 420 is police code for marijuana use, but this is not true.

Either way, 4/20 is now "celebrated" internationally. It is a countercultural holiday and has become a way to make a stand for legalization of marijuana usage. There are many "smoke-outs" held on this day around the world in protest of current laws. Sadly, 4/20 also coincides with the Columbine massacre and is Hitler's birthday.
