Thanks for the video. I use the GM68, and just got the dual layer flip tint kit (I'm in MO, where I ride in temps below freezing), and was confused when it came with no instructions. One thing to note though, is that the round side pieces for ratcheting the tint visor are labelled with an "R" and an "L" molded into them, to tell you which side to install them on. One thing to note, you should NEVER ride without the visor down! It's there for a reason! Ever got a wasp in your helmet? Not fun!

@onejillion I was confused about what the difference between the single and double lens kits were. They market these for snowmobile use too (and they even sell an electrically heated lens). GMAX customer support set me straight, which is good I guess since I almost bought the double. In Florida, like you.

I wiped out in sand while wearing my GM68S Crusader. Luckily, only the lens was scratched. So I bought the single-lens flip tint kit...guess what? Zero instructions. Thanks for the video, it saved me a lot of hassle!

Thank you so much for showing the installation for the flip tint shield!! I only wish I had watched it before purchasing the anti-fog version. I guess I'm ready if we get snow here in Florida.

I like the helmet, but it leaks in the rain. I like the tinted conversion, but honestly don't use that much, I usually leave it flipped up. I keep all shields flipped up most of the time on my helmets. I can hear better with shields up and in the summer it gets hot with the shield closed. The GM44 helmet is now the one I grab when I ride. I use it on a KLR650 dual sport and a GSXR600. The Flip-up chin bar is why I bought it and the reason it's now my favorite helmet.
