i am also a pashtun and i believe he was one of those commanders who fought against russians along with other leaders but later on they all became killers.no one is exception so i dont agree he is our national hero.our national heros r those mujahiden who lost their lives fighting the russians so we can live in peace.afghanistan is home to all tribes.those tajiks who keeping calling masoud national hero r agianst national unity.so lets forget abt masoud and build our future.
