Study at South China University Technology

South China University of Technology (SCUT) is one of China's leading universities operating under the direct leadership of The State Ministry of Education People Republic of China. SCUT consists of two campuses in Guangzhou. The north campus, situated in Tianhe District The south campus, located in the University Town of Panyu, has open and spacious environment, with extensive landscape and modern architectures.

Since its establishment in 1952, SCUT has developed into a major university that offers comprehensive disciplines including Science, Engineering, Business, Management, Liberal Arts, Law and Bio-Medical Science. SCUT is presently made up of 30 schools, with 19 on the north campus and 11 on the south. SCUT has 6 national key disciplines, 67 bachelor's programs, 75 doctoral programs, 177 master's programs, including 5 specialized master's programs, namely, master's programs of architecture, master's programs of business administration (MBA, EMBA), master's programs of public administration (MPA), and 11 stations for post-doctoral research.

South China University of Technology (SCUT) offers undergraduate program with English instruction that are unsurpassed in quality, depth and scope. All courses are delivered in English by the highly qualified lecturers who obtained their degrees in English speaking countries, some of which are taught by qualified English speakers. Original English textbooks and teaching materials are used in these programs. Students who satisfy all the conditions prescribed by SCUT will be awarded Bachelor degrees.

The University is appointed Beijing Language & Culture Institute (BLCI), located in Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta as an Official Recruitment of Indonesia students since 2006. A group of Indonesia students from Beijing Language & Culture Institute Indonesia start to study at South China University Technology, Guangzhou, China since then.

Since Beijing Language & Culture Institute is the first well known Institute of Chinese Language in Indonesia, Indonesia students from Beijing Language & Culture institute is the majority of International students of English Teaching Medium Undergraduate program and International Foundation program at South China University Technology.

Beijing Language & Culture Institute Indonesia do not only recruit students but also organize China International Education Fair each year, International Education Seminar each year, Organize pre departure Briefing in Jakarta, Open China bank account from Indonesia, Escorting students to Guangzhou as well as Visit students to give advice and free Consultation at SCUT.

By it's services, Beijing Language & Culture Institute Indonesia is the only organizer that give so much attention to its students.

There is a university in the United Kingdom called the University of Dundee. It's in Scotland. I would very strongly urge Chinese students who're thinking of coming to the UK to undertake undergrad or postgraduate studies to NOT enrol at the University of Dundee.Many Chinese students at this university have been racially abused (either verbally,and in some cases physically.) Some lecturers at this university are very racist towards Chinese students and the city of Dundee is also VERY racist

I would like to warn Chinese students who are currently studying at South China Uni & who might want to do postgrad studies at the University of Dundee in Scotland, UK,to THINK TWICE. The staff at the University of Dundee are deeply racist towards Chinese students,in particular,and the city of Dundee has seen several attacks against Chinese (and other colored) students in the past few years.Also, the academic standing of this university is low & Chinese students should not consider coming here.
