As the Tyler Foundation looks upon the end of one of the most difficult years in Japan's recent history, we can only express gratitude to all of our sponsors, supporters and volunteers who have enabled us to create a bit of joy for children facing a variety of challenges.

After March 11, realizing we had the tools to help empower children undergoing severe stress after the Tohoku disaster, our Shine On! Smile Ambassador and his team began school tours of the Ofunato area - doing workshops and bringing laughter to over 7000 children to date.

Because of YOUR support - not only did the Tyler Foundation tackle Tohoku - we continued our core programs for children with cancer in Japan and:
*Increased the number of hospitals receiving our Shine On! Beads of Courage program
*Expanded activities at our Shine On! House
*Confirmed plans to place another full-time facility dog in a children's hospital in 2012 through our Shine On! Therapy Dog program!

Sit back and take a look at our year as you listen to a track from our Shine On! Songs Volume 1 CD launched this year - The Sun Always Shines - sung by Mark Ballas, composed by Nick Wood.

Thank you all - and Shine On! into 2012
Kim Forsythe
