This is very interesting, but I watched it for a second time and when it showed James' interview all I could think was "nom nom nom, collarbone!"

It's great to listen to great actors talk about their characters and give us a deeper understaning of what they were doing to create them. I'm so impressed with Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. They are spot in their roles, fascinating to watch and so very distant from their characters in real life that they deserve all the accolades they have received and will receive for this film.

Lol he even ate human flesh in real life...not forest whitaker i mean the actual guy idi amin..lol he's hilarious such a bloody fuck, killing his own people, when they asked him why would they make those rumors he couldn't talk for like 5 to 10 seconds..he obviously is dellusional and did kill that many people...so stop fucking killing people you fucking asshole bitch....you killed 300,000 people and who knows even more, so stop calling us british racists you bloody fucker, stuff you idi amin!!!
-
so many racists..i'm english and i know many english hate blacks...but come on shut the fuck up..don't be insulting black people and their choice of white men.............what a piece of shit you are if i found you i'd beat the shit out of you...i have black friends lol what bullshit. what pure bullshit.....pure bullshit...and the woman was with the president of uganda for one reasons. first if she refused he would just bullshit her and slaughter her like last nights trash, what would youdo?idiot

Lol his voice is soft in real life lol. but anyone can make their voice deepen. that's not why he got an award....he got an award because he really made a good idi amin and he made us believe he was the real idi amin..and the way he kept on talking about his dream death date was very impressive and how he thought of himself as a god, but he does a very good ugandan accent i wish i could do that!! one day i'll be ugandan, one day swedish, instead of english lol!! i can already try to do american!!

Either way, I think the two people in the film just hooked up because they really only had each other to talk to and confide in as they saw their worlds being torn down, and had nothing to do with race, as MissLovett08 said.

OK. The character you are talking about was married to a man who had other wives and locked her away because her kid had epilepsy. He was a raving lunatic who she was deathly afraid of. And rightly so, did you see what he did to her? And last time I checked, it was black men, at least in the US, who find it to be some kind of compliment to be dating a white woman.
-
Are you f-ing kidding me? The woman is married to a psychopathic dictator. Race has nothing to do with her choice...
I didn't know who Forest Whitaker was before watching this film. Now, watching his interviews after his portrayal of Amin, it's just so weird because he's pretty soft-spoken.. and his voice is completely different! Wonderful actor
James McAvoy did WONDERFULLY as Nicholas too
