Fishing off a pier on Stingray Point in Deltaville Va. This point got it's name for a Stingray actually stinging John Smith when he was here on this little Island back in the very early 1600's. It is on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay right at the mouth of the Rappahanock River. So John Smith named it Stingray Point.

  • I don't know how long they can survive out of water. They are right durable. But if they sting you it is very painful. I usually place my bucket of water that I have with me on the tail section until I get the hook out. I usually flip it over to do that. Thanks for the comment.
