why are people arguing instead of just watch and enjoy the movies?? Cool vid, cool scene of climbers, in Holland we do stuf like that alone or with 2, lucky Germans
-
i guess i do more buildering than parkour but i can still get up things fast and jump of crazy high stuff, so is there something in between
-
ok...both of my statements are still correct, on is a development from the other,'not a movement based on style' can come from ' nilt to do with style' they are both simular statements but are technically different. your comment is still irrelevent, you have stated style is inherent in anything........but it should not be inherent in parkour....a practitioner of parkour will not, should not consider style when deciding how to do whatever the movement it is they are doing, or about to do......
-
It is totally relevant. You've gone from "parkour has nilt to do with style" -to, "parkour is not a movement BASED on style." It may seem like a technicality, but there is a huge difference. You're not restating, you're changing the original premise.
-
that is true, but completely irrelivent to this conversation...........
i state again, parkour is not a movement based on style or any other aesthetics that as humans we may envision.....it is a movement based upon practicality
-
Style is inherent in most anything.. Especially free running, climbing, parkour ... sports or activities in general. Hell, even walking and normal running is tied with style. Because humans are drawn to that which is aesthetically pleasing
-
parkour is nothing about style, or flair..........prehaps if you practitioned properly instead of simply commenting on youtube, you mgiht know this......
and it is unlikely i am doing it wrong as there is no way really to do it wrong..... if you add flips it becomes free running, and is therefore 'wrong' but in reallity it just ends up being really badly practitioned parkour
...just for the record =P
-
Parkour has a lot to do with style.. You may be doing it wrong... For the record.
-
just for record aswell....parkour has nilt to do with style, just the practicality anf fluidity of the movement and the overcoming of any obstical.......free running however is acrobatic and mainly for style
-
climbing and buildering do have style points but in a more subtle way. Like doing dynos or stylized statics, or finding holds no one else thought of.
Brigdes and buildings are ther to be climbed
