  • I'm so sick of the argument about what music "belongs" to whites and blacks. The only reason it's an argument in the first place is out of hatred and resentment between blacks and whites who haven't studied music theory and ethnomusicology enough to know the truth. Are you ready, people? (And this goes way beyond music, so buckle up.) WHITES NEED BLACKS AND BLACKS NEED WHITES. The music that exists now couldn't and wouldn't have been born without contributions of BOTH European and African music.

  • I love little richard but to be honest he only has a handfull of good songs and only three good years. Elvis has sold over a billion records and has 263 gold and platinum records, more than double the second place being 106 by the Beatles. Little Richard is not in Elvis's league.

  • AMAZZINGGGG! Nobody has ever been as good as Elvis. Nobody has ever came close. And nobody will ever come close to what Elvis has accomplished and done. Elvis touched so many millions of lives.. God gave him an amazing talent, and unlike artists of the day, Elvis recognized God and gave credit for his talents to where credit was due. Elvis will always be the best performer of all time. I still watch his movies and listen to his music religiously.

  • AMAZING footage! I love Little Richards version but I love Elvis's too. he did this song because he liked it.

  • ahahah, what a bad version! who knows why those girls are so content with it.

Little Richard was just much more groovy and had a highly superior voice.

But yeah, black and bisexual. No good to make a sex-symbol out of him.

    What a shitty era.

  • @guitar19971 Elvis didn't make rock and roll though. You're wrong.... Chuck Berry came before Elvis.

  • @qqsomething Without Little Richard, your ass wouldn't be watching this video since all Elvis did was simply bite another man's work.

  • @dangerbooboo Not a bad way to put things in perspective, but the fact remains that white's always generally hate black music until a talented white person shows them the art. Blacks founded rock and rap, yet it took Elvis and Eminem by in large to make it acceptable to them. Then these men get crowned kings of the art when the tracks of that art were laid long before. They even celebrated Elvis 1st album anniversay as "the birth of rock". LOL! Folks wonder why L Richard and C Berry get pissed?

  • @dangerbooboo I agree music doesn't belong to anybody other than the world. and whilst elvis may have got a lot of his musical stylings from local black singers, he borrowed an equal amount of influence from local white singers. he had the ability to not judge anybody by their skin which for a deep southerner like elvis was quite a feat at the time and combine to great types of music rythm and blues from the blacks and country from the whites to make something better: Rock and roll

  • It's so sad - he came from dirt poor parents - had he not he would be alive

  • No! Elvis took no drugs, alcohol, amphetamines, in the 50s......you know, he made his fame naturally, contrary to the Beatles (that I love btw) that were junkies.....you know what I'm talking about
