in the early 90s indoor world championships i think. and in the neovaults theres a few normal clips petrov style.

yeah i heard it was that he could tell when he was going to blow through he dropped his leg...but where did you see those videos of him vaulting normal petrov style?

o i see, and yea i had heard some stuff about that bein why i just wasnt sure. and yea ive seen some video of some hiiigh jumps from huffman where he didnt roll his push was huge. i just cant beleive he set the former american record that way...total bad ass

A camp I went to...said he had had to retire because of his method.
Also, if I remember correctly, he didn't do that for ALL his vaults, they had to have something specific about them...but I forget what. And he didn't try to vault that way.

Actually...the way that he carries the pole and the way he vaults ended up causing injuries later in life.
